Special Education
To provide support to teachers, instructional aides and administrators working with students with behavior needs. To model and provide effective training practices and techniques (e.g., measurements, assessments, behavior reduction, visual supports, documentation and reporting) as well as written follow-up guidance. LOCATION TO BE DETERMINED
Collecting behavior data, assessing needs for behavior support, implementing behavior reduction techniques, reporting, documentation, maintaining RBT certification, and participating in Individualized Education Program meetings as needed. RBTs will assist with gathering data for functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, and functional behavior support plans (for students not identified as having a disability). RBTs will assist with drafting a Plan for Independence for students with additional educational assistance services. The Director of Special Education will oversee the work of RBTs and will collaborate with principals to determine where the needs for RBT support are greatest. RBTs will maintain a Google Calendar as a weekly log of services that is shared with the Director and Assistant Directors of Special Education. RBTs must pass a competency assessment prior to starting their assignment.
HS Diploma, attend 40 hour training session, passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment, passing score on RBT Exam (prior to starting assignment), 60 hours college or ParaproAssessment
Salary Grade 10 - $13.49 to $23.66 depending on experience Once requirements noted above are completed, the employee will move to a Salary Grade 11. 7.5 hours per day 180 days per year
