Prepares, analyzes & reconciles financial accounting reports & data for the review of District & school administrators. Performs computer data entry to record, update & retrieve financial information and to prepare spreadsheets, reports & correspondence.
Processes a variety of forms & reports to ensure proper & complete accountability of funds; examines & checks documents for conformity with District policies & federal & state laws & regulations; performs general bookkeeping duties which may include coding invoices for payment; processing purchase orders; reconciling vendor statements; maintaining check registers; maintaining multiple accounts; receiving, posting & depositing cash receipts; provides necessary records for & assists with scheduled audits. Enter, maintain, and ensure accuracy of students school data in PowerSchool. Entering initial student data, updating returning student data and running verification reports on school data including attendance, enrollment and scheduling. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum education: high school diploma (associate degree in business/accounting preferred). Must possess good secretarial skills including proficiency in basic office procedures, experience in Microsoft Office programs, and working knowledge of the operation of common office equipment.Must be PowerSchool-trained, or be willing to take training. Must be able to multitask; must have ability to prioritize tasks and work independently; Must have excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. Must be able to meet the public and handle any unexpected situation that may occur in a calm, intelligent manner. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess good telephone voice/manners. Interpersonal skills are vital to the position.
