To assess, diagnose, and treat speech-language disorders in school-age students.
Draft individualized education programs (IEPs) for eligible students that identify goals and objectives for treatment. Monitor progress and make treatment plan adjustments as needed. Lead or participate in evaluation, eligibility determination, and IEP meetings. Manage a schedule that supports the fulfillment of job responsibilities. Educate teachers, parents and family members on speech-related topics including strategies and techniques for improved communication. Collaborate with IEP team members and other professionals in a professional and timely manner. Prepare engaging plans for therapy and maintain a data collection system. Submit Medicaid billing documentation.
Valid SC teaching credential with Speech Education certification required.
Teacher salary schedule Master's +30 column. Employee will also receive a $5000 annual stipend.
