Substitute
Provide classroom management and instruction in the absence of the assigned teacher or staff member. NOTE - PLEASE CONTACT H.R. at 864-718-5701 once all references are returned to schedule your screening interview.
1) Provides classroom instruction to students as assigned in lesson plans provided by teacher. 2) Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the grade level and interests of students. 3) Remain in classroom and monitor students at all times. 4) Provides discipline and classroom control so that a safe and positive learning environment is made possible for all students and staff in accordance with school district policies. 5) Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students. 6) Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
• College degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required • Must be 18 years of age or older • All applicants must be US citizens or have a Work Visa or Work Permit • Prior experience working with students in a classroom · Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability and willingness to work well with others required • Ability to be flexible and adjust to new environments required • Strong classroom management skills required
Substitutes with a four-year degree are paid $100 per day if subbing for a teaching position; those who do not have a four-year degree are paid $80 per day. Substitutes for classified positions are paid $80 per day regardless of education.
