Description
Support teachers, instructional aides, and administrators working with students with behavior needs. Model and provide practical training practices and techniques (e.g., measurements, assessments, behavior reduction, visual supports, documentation, and reporting) and written follow-up guidance.

Responsibilities
- Collecting behavior data, assessing needs for behavior support, implementing behavior reduction techniques, reporting and documenting, maintaining Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification, and participating in Individualized Education Program meetings as needed.
- Assist and gather data for functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, and behavior support plans (for students not identified as having a disability).
- Draft and share Plans for Independence students with additional educational assistance services.
- Maintain a Google Calendar as a weekly log of services shared with the Behavior Specialist.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Federal and State mandates regarding special education
- Ability to develop individual student assessments and complete evaluations
- Ability to operate computer and software application
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma
- 60 hours college or Parapro Assessment
- CPI trained/willing to complete training

Salary Range
Salary range from $17.17 - $26.15 per hour (based on the candidate's work history).
182 days per year. 7.5 hours per day
